Life Skills
This course focuses on developing positive mental attitudes, helping participants develop employability and the interpersonal skills needed to be successful on the job and in life.
The course takes a deep dive into vital issues like self-esteem, personal goals, behavior modification, getting and keeping a job, proper work attire, anger management, conflict resolution and working with a team
Duration: 4 weeks, 8 sessions - 3 hours

Financial Literacy
Many skilled trade jobs are seasonal, and participants should have a better understanding of how to maintain their finances. This class focuses on general fiscal management relevant to participation in union apprenticeship programs. The class will go in-depth on subjects like correcting bad credit, saving, budgeting, investing, insurance, consumer protection and homeownership.
Duration: 2 weeks, 4 sessions - 3 hours

OSHA10 - Occupational Safety and Health Administration 10-hour training
An entry-level safety training program designed to teach workers about workplace hazards, workers' rights, and responsibilities under OSHA

Educational Advancement
This course covers algebra and geometry from the perspective that the student is familiar with both. Concepts are reviewed with practice exercises and weekly assignments. This class prepares participants to take the CASAS (Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems), used to determine skill level and aptitude. The instructor works with participants to strengthen the math skills needed in apprenticeships
